A family found a lost dog on the road and decided to bring him home. But they soon found out it wasn’t a dog – it was a baby coyote!
They reached out to the Cape Wildlife Center (CWF) in Massachusetts. The CWF confirmed on Facebook that it was really a coyote. They worked with the health department and got the okay to take care of him.
Many people talked about this story online. They said the coyote looked like a cute puppy. One person even said she had a pet that was part coyote and loved him a lot.

The wildlife center shared that they are looking after another baby coyote too. Soon, both will play together outside at the CWF after they get their shots.
The center wants to help them grow up like wild coyotes, learning things their parents would teach them.

Be Careful
It’s important to know coyotes can carry a sickness called rabies. It’s very dangerous to all animals, including people.
If someone was hurt by the coyote, the center might have had to make a tough decision to keep people safe.
