On a walk by a canal, a pedestrian stumbled upon what seemed to be discarded rags.
A closer look revealed an extremely matted dog named Morris, showing severe signs of neglect.

Initially, the dog’s immobility led the man to believe he was deceased.
However, Morris was alive but burdened with vision loss in one eye due to cataracts and weighed down by his matted fur.

Immediately contacting RSPCA, the first step to Morris’s recovery was removing 1.3 kilograms of matted fur, a significant portion of his body weight.
With proper care, Morris’s condition improved remarkably.

Soon, he was ready for adoption. Despite his blindness, a family adopted him, providing both a safe home and a canine companion.
