In Bodrum, Mugla, Turkey, a stray mother dog came to the aid of firefighters when her puppies became trapped in a drainage canal. The community resident, Erhan Erol, alerted the firefighters to the situation.

Swiftly arriving on the scene, the firefighters managed to shut off the water supply to the drain. However, the puppies had already moved too far down, putting them out of easy reach.

That’s when the resourceful mother dog stepped in, fetching one of her young!

Inspired by her actions, the firefighters devised a plan. They allowed the mother dog to descend partially into the drain to retrieve her puppies one at a time.

Thanks to this collaborative effort, all the puppies were safely rescued in just about an hour!
