Real heroes are everywhere. They’re just regular folks who step up to help others without a second thought.
Mo, a Pit Bull, was hoping for her heroes when she got stuck on a bridge’s concrete beam. Even as time went by, she held onto hope.
Let’s dive into her tale and how she was saved. Every Monday, the bike group, Smash Bros Plus One, rode around Fort North, Texas. On May 21st, 2022, they were heading to Dallas.
Half an hour into their journey, near a bridge, they spotted a lady waving them down. She told them a dog needed help.
The bikers quickly stopped and went to see. They were heartbroken to find a Pit Bull stuck on a bridge beam, high off the ground. They believed someone left her there.
“She couldn’t have gotten there or out on her own. She looked so sad,” shared Abby Robinson, the group’s only female member.

The dog was still, occasionally looking up with scared, brown eyes, as if trusting them to help.
Knowing they were her only chance, the bikers thought of ways to save her.
They flagged down passing cars. A handyman stopped and had a ladder. Chris Williamson, one of the bikers, climbed down to the dog, comforting her. She began to trust him.

He carefully lifted her to the others waiting above.
Once safe, the dog was calm and thankful. She was hungry and thirsty, and Abby guessed she might’ve had puppies recently.
They called Animal Control, who found she wasn’t microchipped. Wanting to avoid crowded shelters, the bikers contacted Saving Hope Rescue, who took her in.

They named her Moriah Wilson, after a cyclist who tragically passed away in May 2022.
Soon, Mo found a foster home. Her saviors visited and were happy to see her thriving.
A big thanks to everyone who helped that day. You’re true heroes. We bet Mo’s kind eyes won over her new family instantly.
