The young foal, named Tye, was left heartbroken and alone. But help came from an unexpected quarter.

As Karla spent time consoling Tye, her loyal dog, Zip, joined them. Sensing Tye’s grief, Zip refused to leave his side. “He was whining,” recalled Karla, emphasizing Zip’s intuitive understanding of the situation. This wasn’t a one-night gesture.
For the following six weeks, Zip became Tye’s constant companion, offering comfort and companionship. “Every time I headed to the barn, Zip would be there first, waiting,” Karla shared.
Their bond was evident, with Zip often resting his head on Tye, providing a sense of calm and security.
