In the midst of renovations at a hospital in Irvine, California, in February 2023, construction workers stumbled upon a timid visitor: Elliot. Though they tried to approach and rescue him, the wary pup eluded them.
In a gesture of kindness, they provided him with a blanket, which Elliot quickly grew fond of, making it his resting spot. They also ensured he was fed and cared for.
Suzette Hall from Logan’s Legacy, upon hearing about Elliot, arrived to assist. But the cautious pup evaded her too. With no other option, Suzette set a humane trap, luring him with a hot dog.
Two hours later, success! Once rescued, a vet visit revealed a shocking discovery: Elliot had ingested a spring. “He was so famished, he’d eat anything,” shared Hall. Thankfully, nature took its course, and Elliot was fine.

Ready for a fresh start, Elliot was welcomed into a foster home by Tracy Freidman. Initially reserved, he soon revealed his affectionate nature. Tracy, recognizing his love for blankets, gifted him a stack, which he adored.

The culmination of Elliot’s journey came in April 2023 when Suzette announced on a Facebook post that he had been adopted. Now residing by the sea and renamed Vinny, he’s the cherished pet of his new family.
The joy he brings to his new home is evident in every loving interaction. Elliot’s, now Vinny’s, tale is a testament to hope, perseverance, and the magic of second chances.
