In the midst of her service overseas, Army Sergeant Webb stumbled upon a sight that tugged at her heartstrings: a frail black and brown puppy, struggling more than its peers.
Without a second thought, Webb stepped in, naming the puppy PupPup and taking her under her wing.

As time passed, the bond between Webb and PupPup grew stronger. But when Webb’s tour was cut short, the looming fear of leaving PupPup behind haunted her.
Determined to keep their bond intact, Webb reached out to Paws of War, a commendable nonprofit dedicated to reuniting military personnel with the animals they’ve rescued during their service.

In a heartfelt plea to Paws of War, Webb expressed, “I’m desperately asking Paws of War to help me bring my beautiful, helpless PupPup back to America with me… I can’t turn my back on her and would be forever grateful for the help to get her home.”
Recognizing the urgency, Robert Misseri, the co-founder of Paws of War, sprang into action. Detailing their swift response, Misseri shared, “We got on the ground while [Webb] was still serving… we knew we had a very short window to get PupPup.” After a series of hurdles, including four canceled flights and a quarantine period, the moment of reunion was on the horizon.
The touching reunion between Webb and PupPup was nothing short of magical. Overwhelmed with emotion, Webb confessed, “She didn’t believe it until she finally showed up there… She still can’t believe that PupPup is with her.”

Today, PupPup and Sergeant Webb are living their best lives, inseparable and cherishing every moment together. As Misseri aptly put it, “They’ve become inseparable.”
