Reese was utterly shut down when she arrived at the shelter. Confused and scared, she desperately needed someone to show her a bit of kindness.

Enter the compassionate team at Wags and Walks Rescue in Los Angeles, California, who came to her aid just in time.
The shelter was overcrowded and lacked the resources to treat her numerous medical issues. But the Wags and Walks team was determined to save Reese.
Despite being only a year old, Reese looked like an old dog who had lived a hard life. She was covered in painful, open wounds from advanced mange, had an infected eye puncture from a bite, and was severely underweight.
“At just 1-year-old, Reese has endured unthinkable neglect. She is skin and bones, has painful, advanced mange, and infections,” Wags and Walks shared on Instagram.
Seeing Reese in such a terrible condition broke the rescuers’ hearts. It was clear she had never experienced the touch of a loving hand.
Determined to give her a second chance, the team quickly found a loving foster home for her.

A Stylish Recovery
Walker and Rebecca, a kind-hearted couple, welcomed Reese into their home with open arms.
Thanks to the generous support of the community, who funded her recovery, Reese began to thrive. In no time, she was healing, gaining weight, and on the road to a full recovery.

As Reese regained her strength, her personality began to shine. Unexpectedly, she became a little fashionista, dazzling everyone with her adorable pajamas!
Originally, the pajamas were meant to protect her sensitive skin during recovery, but Reese wore them with such style and confidence.
Rebecca and Walker ensured Reese had a full wardrobe of fashionable outfits, turning her into the cutest little trendsetter. She loved every moment, especially the cuddles and affection she had missed out on before.

A Happy Ending
Just a few months after finding her way to her foster family, Reese received the best gift of all: a forever home!
