Bonnie’s story began with a photo that captured hearts online. Found roaming the streets of Oklahoma City with her brother, Clyde, the two dogs were inseparable.
Rescued by the compassionate team at Stillwater Animal Welfare, Bonnie and Clyde shared a kennel at the shelter. Little did Bonnie know, her life was about to change dramatically—but don’t worry, this tale has a happy ending!
The bond between Bonnie and Clyde was unbreakable. They had never known a life apart until fate intervened. Both dogs were found in poor condition and needed significant medical attention, including treatment for heartworms.

Just as Bonnie was beginning to flourish, Clyde found his forever home. His adoption left Bonnie heartbroken. She retreated into her kennel, disinterested and withdrawn, missing her brother terribly.
But December brought a twist of fate. Brayden Routh walked into the shelter, ready to provide a loving home for Bonnie.
Their connection was immediate and profound; it seemed as though Bonnie had been waiting for Brayden all along. With heartfelt excitement, Bonnie left the shelter to start a new chapter in a warm, loving home where she could truly shine.
